Medical &
Financial Assistance for Congenital Heart Defects
In the United States we are lucky to have the level of care
available for the treatment and repair of congenital heart defects
that we do. Elsewhere in the world adequate medical care is not
always available and when it is it can be prohibitively expensive.
Even in the U.S. the cost of congenital heart defect surgery can
overwhelm a family and leave them in need of financial assistance.
At CHF we often receive requests from families who are in
desperate need of medical and/or financial help. Because the
mission of The Children's Heart Foundation is to fund research, we
cannot direct donations toward the care of children with
congenital heart defects. However, there are many organizations
that do provide such help. We have listed them below and hope that
one of them will be able to aid you and your family.
NOTE: Inclusion on this list does not constitute an endorsement
from CHF.
