The goal of The Children’s Heart Foundation is to bring health, hope and happiness to children impacted by congenital heart defects, the number one birth defect in the United States. We accomplish this goal by funding the most promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of congenital heart defects in children.

Since 1996, The Children’s Heart Foundation has funded 34 research projects with more than $3 million!  We have also written and published a parent resource book, “It’s My Heart,”

The Children’s Heart Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization.  We do not receive any government funding.  Our success is because of the generosity and passion of our supporters.

The Childern's Heart Foundation-Iowa Chapter started in December of 2006. We had our national spokesperson, MacKinzie Kline,  in town the next summer to help kick things off by participating in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am courtesy of Trinity Regional Health Systems.

The following year, our first Robert Miller Memorial Golf Tournament was held.  Even with a less than ideal day, the tournament turned out to be a success.  In 2009 we are planning a much bigger and better tournament (Upcoming Events Section).

With our group of dedicated people helping out and a caring community backing us, we will make a difference in the the lives of children born with CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE.  We want to thank each and everyone who helps us to care for children impacted by this disease.  We are all truly grateful.
